What is an LPA?

A Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) is a legal document where you appoint an Attorney to look after your affairs if you are unable to do so. The Attorney is the person who will make decisions on your behalf should you become unable to do so. This may be due to many reasons including:
  • An accident
  • A disability
  • The onset of a mental illness such as Alzheimer’s or Dementia
  • Suffering a stroke.
You can speak to Linda, our Head of Wills and Probate, for a free 15 minute consultation to discuss the different types of LPA and what may be right for you and your family.
